RP Regulations

Members are expected to follow these guidelines while flying their =I.S.B.= tagged ships.

- Members are to focus on RP targets and RP combat while in their =|I.S.B.|= tagged ships. Don't just sit in Sparta PvPing. Sparta is not, I repeat, NOT a pvp system, meaning that these RP guidelines are still in effect there. The only places you may "break character" while wearing an ISB tag are the Elite Fight Zone or the Event System. But if you want to pvp, it's better if you have an untagged Freelancer character handy to switch into.

- Members should be on the lookout for any noticeable organized crime, and report it to a superior officer. Look at this thread to get a general idea of what to look for: Crime Listings

- Never risk your life or the life of a member of the Task Force to a objective. Objectives can be tracked down but man power is hard to get back. (Interpret this broadly...trying to take down that one target in a group of 3 and then getting out of there is fine, but taking on all of them alone would be pushing it. Unless you know you're just that good.)

- When a target is down, forget about his wingmates and get out of there. Hit the objective, take him out and get out fast. It works effectively and means we don't need to fight an open war or do the Navy's job. The only exception is when extra manpower is needed to counter a hostile attack. (If the local navy forces are outnumbered, for example.) Use your best judgment, and be careful.

NOTE: WE ARE FULLY AWARE THAT WARS ARE A HECK OF A LOT OF FUN. FEEL FREE TO BEND THIS RULE ONCE IN AWHILE, BUT REMEMBER THAT IT'S NOT HOW WE'RE SUPPOSED TO OPERATE.

- If you catch a trader with contraband, tell them to drop the cargo, and then give them a chance to do so. If they run, they're fair game. Waste the sucker. If they offer you money to look the other way, it's up to you whether to take it or not.

- Try to stay in character while wearing an ISB tag - say stuff a secret agent or cop would say. You can bend this rule a little bit if you want, but it can be really fun when you get 2-way RP banter going.

- All members are to visit the Clan Ranks thread of the "Roster and Roles" section of the forums and be familiar with the duties required of a player of their particular rank. They are to perform the listed duties to the best of their ability while in-game.



A Note on Arrests:

If you're attempting to arrest a player, you don't have to do a lot. Just fly over, and tell them that they're under arrest for crimes against the colonies, or something along those lines. Chances are they'll just attack you, but make sure you're not the one who fires first. If they decide to go quietly, you can offer to look the other way in exchange for a bribe. Or, if you want, you can simply group with them and escort them to the Alexandria prisons, but who are we kidding? That isn't going to happen anyway...

And yes, any player you arrest does have to have a warrant out on them first - check the "Active Arrest Warrants" section of the forums to see who's fair game.
